Relative Humidity = 35 percent
Atmospheric Pressure = 29.88 inches of mercury

Crescent first observed through 9x63 binoculars:
Time = 6:02 p.m. (MST) 13:02 (UT)
Altitude = 5 degrees
Azimuth = 99 degrees
Elongation of the Moon from Sun = 13 degrees
Percent of surface that was lit = 1.5 percent

Crescent first observed with the naked eye:
Time = 6:02 p.m. (MST) 13:02 (UT)
Altitude = 5 degrees
Azimuth = 99 degrees
Elongation of the Moon from Sun = 13 degrees
Percent of surface that was lit = 1.5 percent

Final observation with telescope:

This was not attempted, but I am sure that I could have held an image through the telescope well past sunrise, under the superb sky.

Horns were immediately noticed as they rose above Pusch Ridge. The first surprise was how jagged the crescent was through the binoculars.
It looked pixelated with an extra row or two on the bottom half of the crescent. Then I noticed the entire disk of the moon illuminated from
earthshine. I don’t remember ever seeing this effect on the Moon one day from new. I wished that I had set up a camera, so I ran in and
grabbed my digital, but this is all that I came up with.

گزارش آقای عليرضا بوژمهرانی ، اصفهان

در بامداد روز جمعه 2 آبان ماه 1382 به همراه آقای خرسندی و يکی از بستگان ايشان برای رصد و تصويربرداری از آخرين هلال صبحگاهی شعبان 1424 به کوه صفه ( واقع در جنوب شهر اصفهان ) عزيمت نموديم. رويت اين هلال کار بسيار ساده ای بود. در ساعت 04:45 هلال ماه را در غبار غليظ افق و به رنگ قهوه ای روشن ديديم و دقايقی بعد نيز رويت آن با چشم غير مسلح مقدور گرديد. بدليل اختلاف سمت جزئی ماه و خورشيد ، هلال بمقدار کمی ، چپ نگاه بود. در لبه سمت راست هلال بريدگيهايی مشاهده می شد. رصد را تا زمان طلوع خورشيد ادامه داديم. نکته جالب در مورد خورشيد اين  که ، لکه ی سياه بسيار بزرگی که اين روزها بر روی خورشيد ظاهر شده است ، به راحتی با چشم غير مسلح قابل ديدن بود.
